Bio
Overlooked in multiple national drafts, Cooper Trembath forced his way onto an AFL list through sheer persistence and dominant VFL form. Originally an intercepting defender with the Eastern Ranges, he was thrown a lifeline by North Melbourne with pick 10 in the 2025 Mid-Season Rookie Draft after impressing for their reserves and local club Blackburn. While recruited as a 193cm utility capable of swinging both ends, Trembath made an immediate impact as a key forward late in the 2025 season, seizing his opportunity following an injury to star spearhead Nick Larkey. He booted nine goals in his first three gamesโincluding a three-goal haul on debut against GWSโshowcasing elite contested marking hands and reliable set-shot finishing. Now contracted through 2026, he enters the new season looking to prove his late-season cameo was no fluke and cement a permanent spot in the Roos' best 22.
