Bio
Originally recruited from Perth in the WAFL via the 2008 Rookie Draft, Cruize Garlett established a reputation as a prolific ball-magnet in the VFL who struggled to translate his state-league dominance into a consistent senior career. A clearance specialist capable of racking up massive possession numbers, he was instrumental in North Ballarat's VFL premiership success but found opportunities limited in a North Melbourne midfield brigade that featured established stars like Brent Harvey and Andrew Swallow. Despite earning elevation to the senior list and showing glimpses of his extraction ability at the top level, Garlett remained on the fringes of the best 22 throughout his five seasons at Arden Street before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2012 season.
