Bio
Recruited from Myrtleford in the Ovens and Murray Football League, Dale Holmes was a mid-sized utility who managed a brief VFL career in the late 1980s. He made his debut for North Melbourne in 1987, playing three matches and averaging a respectable 11 disposals, but was unable to cement a regular spot in the side. Seeking further opportunities, Holmes transferred to Richmond for the 1988 season but could not break into the Tigers' senior lineup, leaving his career tally at just three games. While his time on the field was fleeting, Holmes later forged a significant career in football administration, serving as the General Manager of AFL NSW/ACT and famously appointed as the inaugural CEO of the Greater Western Sydney Giants during the club's establishment.
