Bio
Dean Dugdale arrived at Arden Street with a heavy weight of expectation as the son of North Melbourne legend and Team of the Century member John Dugdale. Recruited from Doncaster Heights, the generic utility joined his brother Glenn at the club and made his senior debut as an 18-year-old late in the 1981 season. While he showed promise and featured in the Kangaroos' side that reached the 1982 night series Grand Final, he struggled to command a regular spot in the senior lineup over five years. He eventually transferred to Richmond for the 1987 season but failed to break into the Tigers' senior team, ending his VFL career with 30 games.
