Bio
Recruited from Sandhurst in the Bendigo Football League, Denis Lenaghan was a pacy rover and small forward with a knack for hitting the scoreboard. He commenced his VFL career with Carlton, but found it difficult to cement a regular spot in a star-studded midfield that secured back-to-back premierships during his time at Princes Park. Seeking greater opportunity, Lenaghan crossed to Geelong, where he proved to be a dangerous option around goal and maintained a career average of better than a major per game. His stint at Kardinia Park was highlighted by the opportunity to play senior football alongside his younger brother Mick, before he finished his time at the top level as a handy goal-kicker who made the most of his chances.
