Bio
Eamon Austin is a small forward who progressed from the Sandhurst community club to the Bendigo Pioneers in the Talent League. Earning his place as a regular contributor in 2026, he secured selection for Vic Country at the National Championships. Austin delivered several standout performances for the Pioneers, notably winning plenty of the ball in a prolific outing against the Northern Territory in round six and kicking a bag of five goals in a wildcard final against the Tasmania Devils.
Operating mainly inside 50 with rotating bursts through the midfield, Austin is known for his blend of poise, agility and speed. Scouts note his sneaky sidestep and ability to twist his way out of trouble in traffic. Despite his smaller frame, he demonstrates strong hands overhead, allowing him to gain separation and take clean marks on the lead. His footy smarts and infectious persistence make him a reliable connection player between the arcs, positioning him as a hopeful for the upcoming draft.
