Bio
Arriving at the Western Oval with a strong football pedigree, Eddie O'Halloran was the son of Kevin O'Halloran, a journeyman forward who famously kicked seven goals on debut for St Kilda in the 1930s. Recruited locally from West Footscray, the younger O'Halloran was a stocky utility who stood 180cm but weighed a solid 89kg, giving him a physical edge in contests. Despite his ready-made frame, he found it difficult to command a regular place in a competitive Footscray lineup that finished just outside the final four in 1964. He managed only six senior appearances across two seasons, booting two goals, before his brief stint at VFL level concluded.
