Bio
Selected by Gold Coast with pick 7 in the 2020 National Draft, Elijah Hollands arrived in the AFL with significant pedigree but faced an immediate setback due to a torn ACL that wiped out his debut season. The son of former Richmond player Ben Hollands found consistent senior opportunities difficult to come by upon his return, often finding himself on the fringe of the Suns' best 22 as he worked to build the endurance required for AFL level. Seeking a fresh start and a family reunion with his younger brother Ollie, he requested a trade to Carlton following the 2023 season. A classy ball-user who operates effectively across half-forward and the wing, Hollands offers damaging disposal inside 50 and a natural goal sense. Since moving to Princes Park, he has become a regular contributor for the Blues, utilising his creativity to improved the team's connection between midfield and attack.
