Bio
Arriving at Richmond as a prolific country forward from Sandhurst in the Bendigo Football League, Frank Ford was a dangerous rover who knew where the goals were. The younger brother of Tiger Bill Ford, he slotted into the Punt Road lineup in 1931 and featured in that year's Grand Final loss to Geelong, starting the match in a forward pocket. Despite playing in a premiership decider in his debut season, Ford crossed to Essendon the following year, where he continued to be a productive avenue to goal. He finished third on the Dons' goalkicking list in 1932, utilizing his goal sense to drift forward when not on the ball. After 21 games across two seasons at Windy Hill, he departed the VFL to return to Sandhurst.
