Bio
Arriving at the Western Oval from local side West Footscray, Fred Coppock broke into the senior lineup as a 25-year-old recruit for the start of the 1930 season. He enjoyed a consistent run of form early in his tenure, playing the first eight games of the year consecutively and kicking his only VFL goal during a Round 3 win over Hawthorn. Despite this promising start, he struggled to maintain his place in the side as the season wore on, managing only one further appearance in Round 11 before falling out of selection contention. Coppock finished his brief VFL career with nine games in a solitary season before returning to lower-level football.
