Family

Recruited from Carey Grammar, Geoff Angus was a skillful centreman who became a key component of Hawthorn's engine room during the club's ascent under John Kennedy Snr. Wearing the number 33, he was known for his ability to find space in the middle and drive the ball forward to the Hawks' legendary forward line. His crowning moment arrived in 1971, where he started in the centre during the grueling Grand Final victory over St Kilda, securing his place in history as a premiership player. Despite establishing himself as a regular in the senior side, Angus played his final VFL game at just 25 years of age, finishing with 73 games and 35 goals before departing the club at the end of the 1973 season.
