Bio
Recruited from the Olympic Youth Club, Glenn Robertson joined his older brother Leigh at the Junction Oval, emerging as a tall and industrious utility capable of finding plenty of the football. Standing 185cm, he was a prolific ball-winner rather than a key position player, evidenced by a standout 1976 season where he averaged nearly 19 disposals a game. Despite this individual form, he departed the VFL after 50 games to head west, where he enjoyed significant team success with East Perth, including a role in their 1978 WAFL premiership. Robertson later returned to Victoria and cemented his legacy in the VFA with Port Melbourne, where he played in the 1982 premiership side, won a club best and fairest, and eventually captained the Borough, retiring as a distinguished state-league leader who later forged a successful career as a high-level corporate executive.
