Bio
Recruited from the Olympic Youth Club, Leigh Robertson arrived at Fitzroy with a significant family pedigree as the grandson of the club's 1922 premiership player, Tommy Corrigan. A versatile utility who typically operated across the wing or half-back flank, Robertson was a reliable presence in the Lions' lineup during the late 1960s and early 1970s, eventually playing alongside his younger brother, Glenn. He wore the number 18 guernsey for the majority of his tenure, serving as a steady link player during an era where the senior side often struggled for consistency on the ladder. Robertson capped off his six-season stint at the Junction Oval by featuring in Fitzroy's 1974 reserves premiership victory before departing the VFL to continue his career with Northcote in the VFA.
