Family

A homegrown talent who graduated from the Fitzroy thirds, Graham Gotch established himself as a versatile utility for the Lions during the late 1950s. Standing 178cm, he was deployed wherever the team needed him most, capable of holding his own on a half-back flank, patrolling the centre, or drifting forward to hit the scoreboard. After five seasons at Brunswick Street, he departed the VFL scene to pursue coaching opportunities in the country, notably serving as the inaugural coach for Coragulac in the Hampden League. His connection to the club endured well beyond his playing days, with his son Brad Gotch later representing Fitzroy in the 1980s before embarking on a distinguished coaching career of his own.
