Graham Knight

Recruited from the local Fitzroy District, Graham Knight was a patient servant of the Lions who battled to cement a permanent spot in the senior lineup throughout the 1950s. Standing 178cm, he operated primarily as a rover and half-forward, possessing a handy goal sense that saw him contribute nearly a goal a game when given the opportunity. Despite the club's competitiveness during the late 50s—including preliminary final appearances in 1958 and 1960—Knight often found himself on the fringe of selection, managing his most consistent run of form in 1959 when he played 14 matches. He remained a loyal one-club player for eight seasons, providing experienced depth and reliable performances whenever called upon before finishing his VFL tenure in 1960.
