Bio
Recruited from University in the amateur ranks, Graham Peck was a skillful half-forward who balanced the rigours of VFL football with his studies to become a medical doctor. As the older brother of future Hawthorn legend and Coleman Medallist John Peck, Graham arrived at Glenferrie Oval first, establishing himself as a handy flanker who could win possession and contribute on the scoreboard. He played three seasons with the Hawks during a challenging era for the club before crossing to St Kilda for a final year of senior football in 1956. While his career was relatively brief compared to his famous sibling, Peck’s ability to compete at the highest level while qualifying as a physician was a significant achievement, and he later returned to the amateur game to serve as president and club doctor for Old Melburnians.
