Bio
Recruited from West Melbourne, Harold Arthur experienced a fragmented VFL career heavily impacted by the Second World War. After debuting for North Melbourne in 1941, his tenure was interrupted by military service, forcing him out of the game for two full seasons before he returned to the fold in 1944. Functioning primarily as a rover who could drift forward to impact the scoreboard, Arthur managed only a handful of senior games during the club's erratic wartime era. Unable to secure a permanent spot in the starting lineup as the league began to return to normalcy, he departed the top level after the 1945 season having played just nine matches over a five-year span.
