Bio
Harry Franz is a key defender who developed his football with Plympton before joining Glenelg in the South Australian Talent League. He formed part of a strong defence that helped lead the Bays to the 2026 premiership. His solid form throughout the year was rewarded with selection for South Australia at the National Championships, where he played four matches and featured as a consistent presence in the back half. He capped off his season with an invitation to the national draft combine.
A genuine key defender, Franz pairs reliable lockdown traits with a strong capacity to intercept the ball in the air. He is composed by foot and shows promise when launching attacks from the defensive end, though scouts note he is still developing the rebound side of his game. Widely viewed as a late national draft prospect or potential rookie option, he is expected to appeal to clubs searching for a dependable backman to bolster their defensive stocks.
