Bio
Born in the historic gold mining town of Walhalla, Harry Harrison arrived at Essendon via the club's "Juniors" (reserves) program, where he featured in the 1922 Junior Grand Final. Standing 183cm—a significant height for a footballer in the 1920s—he was a tall prospect who broke into the Bombers' senior lineup for three games during the 1923 season, playing alongside his brother and future club best-and-fairest, Joe Harrison. Unable to cement a regular spot at Windy Hill, Harrison transferred to Footscray in April 1925, becoming part of the Tricolours' inaugural VFL list as the club entered the league. He managed just two senior appearances for Footscray in their debut season before moving to the VFA with Camberwell the following year, later serving his country in the RAAF during World War II.
