Bio
A Mount Gambier native with a footballing journey that crossed state lines, Harry Kuhl arrived at the Junction Oval in 1926 via a circuitous pathway. Having previously cut his teeth with Port Adelaide in the SANFL and the Dimboola Football Club in the Wimmera, he was recruited to St Kilda as a mature prospect. Standing at just 170cm, Kuhl was a nippy rover and forward pocket who could be relied upon to snag a goal, booting seven majors during his solitary season in the VFL. Although his tenure at the Saints was brief, limited to just 12 senior appearances in that single winter, his footballing legacy extended to the next generation, with his son Jim Kuhl later playing senior football for North Melbourne in the 1940s.
