Bio
Born in the Wimmera town of Dimboola, Jim Kuhl was the son of former St Kilda and Port Adelaide player Harry Kuhl. He found his way to North Melbourne via Geelong West, arriving at Arden Street as a solidly built recruit with a ready-made 183cm frame. Despite his physical maturity, Kuhl found it difficult to command a regular spot in the senior side, playing primarily as a defensive-minded utility who failed to register a goal during his tenure. He managed seven games in his debut season and just three the following year before drifting out of the VFL system, remembered as a short-term servant of the club during the post-war era.
