Family

Recruited from the Murray Bushrangers with pick 74 in the 2016 National Draft, Harry Morrison entered the league with a football pedigree that included being the cousin of Brisbane and Port Adelaide ball-magnet Tom Rockliff. He made an immediate impression upon his debut in the final round of the 2017 season, displaying a level of composure that belied his age and earning a Rising Star nomination early the following year. While rarely the most flashy player during the club's transition away from its golden era, Morrison established himself as a standard-bearer for professionalism at Waverley Park, inheriting the famous number 1 guernsey previously worn by fan favourites Ray Jencke and Peter Crimmins.

A natural winger who can also operate across half-back, Morrison is defined by his elite kicking efficiency and disciplined two-way running. He is typically tasked with the unglamorous role of linking play between the arcs and drifting back to support the defence, serving as a reliable conduit for ball movement rather than a headline-grabbing match-winner. Under Sam Mitchell's tenure, Morrison has faced fierce competition for selection in a regenerating, high-speed midfield, often finding himself fighting for his position in the best 22. Despite drifting in and out of the senior side, his experience and neat disposal have kept him relevant as a steadying influence amidst a youthful, attacking line-up.
