Bio
A tenacious mature-age recruit, Jack Henderson finally realised his AFL dream after establishing himself as a premier midfielder in the VFL with Werribee. The 2024 Norm Goss Medalist was added to Melbourne's list during the 2025 Pre-Season Supplemental Selection period (SSP), signed to replace the long-term injured Shane McAdam after a brief training stint with West Coast. Originally from Deniliquin, Henderson built a reputation as a contested beast with an elite work rate at state league level but was forced to adapt to a high-pressure forward role to break into the Demons' senior side. He made an instant impact by kicking a goal with his first touch on debut against GWS in Round 1, 2025, and managed five senior appearances in his maiden campaign. Now entering his second season, he remains a valuable depth player fighting to translate his prolific VFL form into a permanent spot in the best 22.
