Bio
Recruited from VFA club Northcote, Jack MacGregor was a robust and versatile big man who served Fitzroy faithfully across seven seasons in the 1950s. Standing 185cm with a heavy frame, he was initially utilised as a ruckman and occasional key forward, providing a physical contest in the air and drifting forward to snag the odd goal. As his career progressed, MacGregor demonstrated his utility by settling into a role as a defender, where his strength and aerial judgment allowed him to match up effectively against opposition forwards. A reliable clubman during a transitional era for the Lions, he remained a consistent figure in the senior lineup, compiling 87 games before departing the VFL at the end of 1958.
