Bio
Recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers with pick 43 in the 2018 National Draft, Jack Ross arrived at Punt Road as a physically mature prospect ready for senior football. Initially finding his feet during the Tigers' golden premiership era, he served as a reliable depth option, often dominating at VFL level but struggling to consistently displace established stars like Trent Cotchin and Dion Prestia in the senior engine room. A big-bodied midfielder known for his clean hands, contested work, and two-way running, Ross eventually evolved his game to feature on the wing and half-forward flanks to better fit the team's structure during its transition phase. Despite battling injury setbacksโincluding a frustrating foot stress fracture in 2024โhe remained a loyal servant to the club, bridging the gap between the dynasty years and the next generation with his professional standards and physical presence.
