Bio
Recruited via the first pick in the 2015 Rookie Draft from the Oakleigh Chargers, Jack Sinclair spent the initial phase of his career fluctuating between the senior side and the VFL while searching for a defined role. Originally utilised as a high-half-forward with occasional midfield minutes, he showed glimpses of creativity but often lacked the consistency required to be a week-to-week lock in the best 22. His career trajectory shifted dramatically following a permanent move to the half-back line, where his composure and decision-making found a natural home.
Sinclair evolved into one of the league's most damaging rebounding defenders, renowned for his elite kicking skills and willingness to take the game on through the corridor. This positional reinvention saw him claim back-to-back Trevor Barker Awards and All-Australian selection in 2022 and 2023, establishing him as the primary distributor in the Saints' defence. Now a 200-game veteran, he stands as a key leader at Moorabbin, providing the class and driving run that dictates the tempo of St Kilda's transition game.
