Bio
A local recruit hailing from Barwon, James Horman established himself as a remarkably consistent figure for Geelong immediately following his debut in the 1900 season. He did not miss a single senior engagement during his first two years at Corio Oval, serving as a reliable mainstay in a lineup that contested the finals in consecutive campaigns. A defensive-minded player who rarely troubled the scorers, Horman was a fixture of the side until his VFL career concluded abruptly after the opening round of 1902, when he was cleared to join Ballarat. He continued his footballing journey in regional leagues, later becoming a premiership player for Chilwell, while his younger brother George also briefly represented the Pivotonians a few years later.
