Bio
The youngest of the Barham brothers, Jamie arrived at Melbourne via a strategic detour to Gisborne that allowed him to bypass Collingwood’s country zone claim on his hometown of Hamilton. A slender wingman who possessed the same natural speed as his famous brother Ricky, he struggled to find consistent touch at the top level. After playing four games for the Demons during their 1981 wooden spoon campaign, he sought a clearance to Victoria Park to join his sibling, but a dispute over the transfer fee saw him land at Footscray instead. He managed just one senior appearance for the Bulldogs, earning the unfortunate distinction of playing for two different bottom-placed sides in consecutive seasons before fading from the VFL scene.
