Bio
Recruited to Collingwood with pick 61 in the 2007 National Draft as a father-son selection, Jaxson Barham is the son of former Magpie Ricky Barham. The pacy midfielder burst onto the AFL landscape in Round 4, 2009, gathering 28 disposals in a high-energy debut against the Brisbane Lions that immediately earned him a Rising Star nomination. Despite his raw speed and ability to carry the ball, Barham struggled with inconsistent kicking efficiency and found it difficult to break into a dominant Collingwood midfield that was marching toward the 2010 premiership. Unable to cement a regular spot in the senior side, he played just seven career games before being delisted at the end of the 2010 season.
