Bio
Recruited from the Northern Territory Thunder, Jed Anderson originally arrived at Hawthorn via a trade with Greater Western Sydney, who had pre-listed him as a zone selection. While he showed early promise as a dynamic forward in a dominant Hawks outfit, he struggled to cement a spot due to persistent illness, injury, and the elite depth of a triple-premiership squad, prompting a trade to North Melbourne ahead of the 2016 season. At Arden Street, Anderson transformed into a ferocious inside midfielder, renowned for his desperate attack on the ball and relentless tackling pressure. His courageous style endeared him to supporters and saw him finish third in the club's 2020 Syd Barker Medal, though his physical approach often came at a cost to his durability. After being delisted by the Kangaroos following the 2022 season, he was offered a lifeline by Gold Coast via the Supplementary Selection Period but failed to break into the senior side during his lone season at the Suns, leaving him stranded on 99 career games.
