Bio
Recruited from Winchelsea in the Geelong district leagues, John Worland was the younger cousin of Don Worland, who had briefly played for the Cats earlier in the decade. He broke into the senior side during the 1957 season, making four appearances as the club looked to bolster its depth. Despite the strong local family connection to the region's football scene, Worland's time at the top level was short-lived, and he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the lineup beyond that single season.
