Bio
The son of renowned football administrator and former Fitzroy and Collingwood player Graeme ‘Gubby’ Allan, Marcus Allan faced the unenviable task of cracking into a Brisbane Lions midfield still teeming with triple-premiership legends. Recruited via the 2005 Rookie Draft, the hardworking midfielder earned a promotion to the senior list and debuted late in the 2006 season against Hawthorn. Allan was an in-and-under operator who showed flashes of ball-winning ability, but he struggled to secure a permanent spot in the rotation while the Lions transitioned out of their golden era. After managing just five senior appearances across two seasons, he was delisted at the end of 2007, eventually continuing his career at state league level with Claremont in the WAFL and Aspley in Queensland.
