Bio
Recruited by Port Adelaide with pick 33 in the 2007 National Draft, Matthew Westhoff arrived at Alberton seeking to emulate the success of his older brother, Justin. A tall forward with a lanky frame and strong hands, he showed early promise by booting three goals on debut against North Melbourne in 2008. Despite this immediate impact, Westhoff struggled to command a regular spot in the senior side, often finding himself behind more established forwards in the pecking order while playing for Central District in the SANFL. After managing just six games across four years on the list, he was delisted by the Power at the end of the 2011 season.
