Bio
Selected by Port Adelaide with pick 18 in the 2019 National Draft, Mitch Georgiades is the son of former Footscray forward John Georgiades and entered the league despite missing his entire draft year through injury. An athletic key forward known for his explosive vertical leap and contested marking ability, he quickly became a fan favourite at Alberton for his capacity to play tall and attack the ball in flight. Although his development faced a significant hurdle when an ACL rupture forced him to miss the entire 2023 season, he returned to cement his position as a primary avenue to goal. By 2026, Georgiades had matured into a potent scoring threat, utilising his aerial dominance to establish himself as a critical component of the Power's forward structure.
