Bio
Recruited from the Tassie Mariners with pick 34 in the 1999 National Draft, Patrick Wiggins arrived at the Western Bulldogs as the younger brother of Carlton utility Simon Wiggins. A key position prospect capable of operating at both ends of the ground, he struggled to carve out a permanent niche in a Bulldogs lineup that boasted established talls like Chris Grant and Luke Darcy. Wiggins spent the vast majority of his five-year tenure playing for VFL affiliate Werribee, managing only sporadic senior appearances under coaches Terry Wallace and Peter Rohde. Despite his persistence in the state league, he was unable to translate his form to the top level consistently and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2004 season.
