Recruited from the Western Jets with pick 35 in the 2021 National Draft, Paul Curtis arrived at Arden Street as North Melbourne sought to inject genuine X-factor into a rebuilding forward line. A dynamic small forward known for his agility and ability to manufacture scores from limited opportunities, Curtis quickly displayed a natural goal sense and a willingness to apply defensive pressure. He wasted little time breaking into the senior side, debuting early in the 2022 season and rapidly evolving from a cameo player into a reliable avenue to goal. While navigating the challenges of playing in a developing team, he maintained a strike rate of well over a goal a game, kicking 97 majors in his first 78 appearances. By 2026, Curtis had established himself as a core member of the Kangaroos' attack, valued for his crumbing instincts and capacity to turn matches with bursts of brilliance.
