Bio
Recruited from Echuca with pick 19 in the 1990 National Draft, Paul Lynch was a talented small forward whose career was defined by both high-impact cameos and chronic injury frustration. A pacy crumber with sharp goal sense, Lynch broke into a formidable Geelong lineup during the Malcolm Blight era, notably playing in both the 1994 and 1995 Grand Final defeats. While his speed and skill made him a dangerous asset inside 50, he was plagued by relentless soft-tissue issues—specifically recurring hamstring strains—that severely limited his continuity. Despite spending eight seasons on the list, his body rarely allowed him to string significant games together, and he was ultimately forced to retire at the end of the 2000 season.
