Bio
Recruited to North Melbourne as the younger brother of Western Bulldogs Brownlow Medallist Scott Wynd, Paul Wynd faced the formidable challenge of breaking into a premiership-contending side. Taken with pick 45 in the 1996 National Draft from the Preston Knights, the tall ruckman offered depth to the Kangaroos' big man stocks. However, with the likes of Corey McKernan and Matthew Capuano dominating the ruck division at Arden Street, Wynd found senior opportunities severely limited. He managed just three appearances during the 1997 season before being delisted, ultimately unable to secure a long-term place in a powerful North Melbourne list.
