Bio
Selected by Greater Western Sydney with pick 34 in the 2022 National Draft, Toby McMullin arrived from the Sandringham Dragons with a pedigree that included being the son of former Collingwood and Essendon player Ian McMullin. A versatile small forward with the capacity to push into the midfield, his game is built on high energy, lateral agility, and intense defensive pressure inside 50. Despite showing flashes of his potential, McMullin found it difficult to cement a permanent position in a star-studded Giants forward line, often finding himself oscillating between the VFL and the senior side or being utilised as a tactical substitute. Throughout his early career, he served primarily as a depth player, relying on his tackling and work rate to continually press his case for selection in the senior side.
