Bio
Selected by Adelaide with pick 17 in the 2015 National Draft, Tom Doedee was initially considered a surprise "bolter" but vindicated the decision with a stellar breakout season in 2018 where he finished runner-up in the Rising Star award. A courageous intercept defender known for backing into packs and reading the play, he became a key figure in the Crows' backline and eventually joined the leadership group, though his momentum was frequently halted by serious knee injuries. After rupturing his ACL for a second time in 2023, he exercised his rights as a restricted free agent to join the Brisbane Lions on a long-term deal. However, his start in Queensland was disastrous, as a re-injury to the same knee during his recovery ruled him out of the entire 2024 season, forcing him to watch the Lions' premiership victory from the sidelines as he prepares for a delayed return to senior football.
