Bio
Selected by Collingwood with pick 65 in the 2013 National Draft, Tom Langdon immediately defied the expectations of a late selection by playing every game in his debut season. He established himself as a composed medium defender, renowned for his courage in the air and ability to peel off his opponent to take intercept marks across half-back. His career reached its zenith during the 2018 finals series, culminating in a stellar Grand Final performance against West Coast where he polled votes for the Norm Smith Medal. Following that standout season, Langdon came close to joining his brother Ed at Fremantle, but after a trade failed to materialise due to medical concerns, he signed a contract extension to remain a Magpie. Unfortunately, a chronic degenerative knee injury severely hampered the remainder of his career, restricting him to just nine more games before forcing his premature retirement in 2020.
