Selected by Gold Coast with pick 29 in the 2014 National Draft, Touk Miller arrived at the Suns with a reputation for leadership having captained Vic Metro. While he began his career as a high-pressure small forward and run-with player—famously sparking friction in the QClash through his disciplined tagging roles—he worked tirelessly to transform himself into an elite two-way midfielder. Renowned for his exceptional aerobic capacity and relentless work rate, Miller became the prototype for the modern accumulation midfielder who applies as much defensive pressure as he generates offensive drive.

During a period where Gold Coast struggled to retain top-tier talent, Miller stood firm as a loyal figurehead, eventually ascending to the co-captaincy and playing a pivotal role in resetting the club's culture. His on-field dominance was recognised with back-to-back All-Australian selections and multiple Club Champion awards during his prime.
