Bio
Recruited from North Adelaide with pick 11 in the 2000 National Draft, Trent Sporn arrived at Carlton as a highly rated prospect and the younger brother of former Bomber and Lion Kieran Sporn. He developed into a versatile defender capable of generating rebound from the half-back line or executing disciplined run-with roles against dangerous opposition forwards. Although he enjoyed a breakout season in 2004 where he played 19 games and finished in the top ten of the John Nicholls Medal count, his career was severely hampered by persistent injury setbacks, particularly to his shoulders and hamstrings. Unable to maintain continuity during a turbulent era for the club, Sporn managed 50 senior appearances over six seasons before being delisted at the conclusion of 2006.
