Bio
Recruited from East Keilor, Troy Moloney was a second-generation Bulldog who arrived at the Western Oval looking to emulate his father, Brian. After graduating from the club's under-19s and reserves, he broke into the senior lineup in 1987, operating primarily as a defensive-minded utility who could accumulate possession. Despite showing the capacity to compete at the top level, Moloney’s six-year stint was defined by frustration, as recurring injuries severely hampered his continuity and restricted him to just 36 appearances. He eventually departed the club in 1992, though the family’s connection to elite football continued decades later when his daughter, Abbi, was drafted into the AFLW.
