Bio
Recruited from Williamstown, Wyn Outen was a prominent member of the notable Outen footballing dynasty, playing alongside his brother Matt at St Kilda during the league's formative years. A robust ruckman and follower who used his physical strength to impose himself on contests, he shouldered a significant workload for a Saints lineup that frequently languished near the bottom of the ladder. Despite the club's lack of team success during his tenure from 1903 to 1907, Outen remained a consistent contributor in the heavy conditions of the era before eventually returning to the VFA, where he further cemented his standing as a Williamstown great.
