Bio
Drafted by Sydney with pick 18 in the 2021 National Draft from Claremont, Angus Sheldrick arrived at the Swans with a reputation as a ferocious contested ball-winner, solidified by a best-on-ground performance in the WAFL Colts Grand Final. A natural inside midfielder who thrives on physical contact, Sheldrick is characterised by his clean hands at stoppages, high tackling pressure, and ability to extract the ball from congestion. Despite earning a debut in the opening round of his rookie season, his development was frequently hampered by injury setbacks and the difficulty of displacing incumbent stars in one of the competition's deepest midfield units. Consequently, he has spent much of his tenure on the fringe of the best 22, operating as a high-intensity depth player fighting to secure a permanent spot in the senior side.
