Bio
Selected as a father-son recruit in the 2008 National Draft, Ayce Cordy arrived at the Western Bulldogs with significant expectation after the club used pick 14 to match a bid from St Kilda. The son of former Bulldog Brian Cordy, he was a towering 204cm ruck-forward noted for his athleticism and endurance rather than brute strength. Despite his height, Cordy struggled to adapt to the physical demands of AFL football and found it difficult to add the muscle mass required to compete effectively in contested situations. His development was further hindered by shoulder injuries and the durable form of first-choice ruckman Will Minson, restricting him to sporadic appearances in the seniors. Unable to cement a regular spot in the best 22, Cordy was delisted at the end of the 2015 season after seven years on the list.
