Bio
Recruited from Traralgon, Graeme Cordy was the third brother from the famous Gippsland footballing family to represent Footscray, joining older siblings Brian and Neil at the Western Oval. A key forward capable of providing a tall target in attack, he struggled to break into a competitive Bulldogs lineup—which made the Preliminary Final in his debut year—and managed only six senior games before moving north to the Sydney Swans in 1987. The transfer saw him reunite with Neil in the Harbour City, where he enjoyed his most consistent stint of football, playing 10 games in both the 1987 and 1988 seasons. However, injury setbacks prevented him from establishing a long-term career at the top level, and he eventually left the VFL to play for Wodonga. While his own game tally was modest, he remains part of a significant footballing dynasty that continued at the Bulldogs decades later through his nephews, Ayce and premiership defender Zaine.
