Bio
Recruited from Old Paradians, Bernie Considine was a gifted all-round sportsman whose VFL career was interwoven with distinguished service in the RAAF and first-class cricket. A fast bowler for Victoria, he arrived at Glenferrie Oval as a mature-age prospect, joining his brothers Maurie and Frank to establish a significant family connection at the club. While his time in the brown and gold was brief, yielding 16 games and seven goals as a rotating forward and utility, his athleticism was evident before he requested a clearance to Tasmania. Considine left the league to accept a captain-coaching position with Cooee in the NWFU, continuing his sporting excellence across the Bass Strait where he eventually represented the Apple Isle in cricket.
