Bio
Born into a brown and gold dynasty, Paul Considine was the son of former player and long-time official Maurie Considine, and the nephew of Hawks Bernie and Frank. Recruited from Ringwood, the 178cm small forward and utility faced the unenviable task of trying to crack Hawthorn’s lineup during their ruthless 1980s "golden era." He showed he could find the goals, kicking five majors in his limited exposure, but found himself stuck behind a wall of legendary talent in arguably the greatest team of the 20th century. Restricted to just seven senior games over five seasons between 1981 and 1985, his career is defined by his persistence in a dominant squad and his role in the enduring Considine family legacy at Glenferrie Oval.
